Welcome at the overview page of curated artworks at the DIVE x WOOM venue
Curated by: A.P./Studio
Together with the creative WOOM team A.P./Studio defines the curatorial artistic programs for 2025.
WOOM serves as a blank canvas for artist and creatives in it broadest sense.
It’s not easy to describe the place but it is a growing project with the goal
to be a digital art centre for experimentation in presentation of digital and interactive art forms.
WOOM is an invitation to play, challenging and embracing everything what’s happening
in our rapidly changing (digital) world and functions as a depository for all those things.
We carefully selected and integrated artworks, by upcoming emerging and established artist,
in the main area of the WOOM venue.
You can find more information about these artworks on this page.

Artist: Nicholas William Johnson
Title: Brugmansia Array, 2022
+ Ficus Spinner 2022
Courtesy PLUS-ONE Gallery
Nicholas William Johnson’s (°1982, HI, US) recent research focuses on plant consciousness, which is not only a topic of interest in ancient mythologies and indigenous shamanic knowledge, but also in current academic studies. Johnson’s paintings can be described as lush “jungles”, with ripe fruit connoting an unabashed sensuality and an abundance of color that is titillating to the eye. With these works Johnson seems to attempt to unite the “binary split” which the Enlightenment caused – that “gulf in perception” that divides human and plant consciousness.
